    That is a very good review. I am thinking about purchasing one of these. Other than being in a hood what do you think the mounting options are for this.

    Very similar. The only difference I can see in output is that the EcoTech mimics a halide and the Orphek mimics T5.

    As far as I've heard, there's not much out there yet. It comes with eyelets for hanging, but there's no stock brackets to speak of yet.

    Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I'm setting up my frag tank soon and planning to go all LED on that.

    I would go with the Orphek just because it will get more even light to the entire space.

    I've got mine running on a 36" 40 gallon breeder. It covers it very well though I wouldn't try SPS at the ends.

    been looking into this. thinking of going this route since i can't get a halide that the color is just right. they do have a hang kit for it. its 45.00

    That might be pushing it, but I think you could still do sps in a limited area and soft coral just about anywhere. The nice thing is, you could get one to start, keep your corals towards the middle, and get a second unit later.
