I want to start getting into more SPS's, I have some monti caps that grow like weeds. I have a monti digita that is growing nicely & a deep water acro that is growing real slow lol But it has good polyp extension. I just want some SPS that are not really hard to keep & that I can see grow :)

+1 on birdsnest. after monti it is definitely the easiest. as long as it has flow it's pretty happy.

I actually haven't found a 'hard' sps to keep. Besides lighting, they all basically need decent flow and stable parameters. IMO, sps aren't as difficult to keep as some people make it out. Now, I'm not saying there aren't hard sps to keep, but the majority of common sps types really aren't that bad. I've kept montis, stylos and acros with no really problems. I did bleach my birdsnest and monti, so be careful of that.

I dont know , easy or hard to be honest
    so from my limited experience
here are the ones that are doing very well for me, 6 months into SPS keeping

    pink birdsnest
    grape scrolling Monti
    monti cap - red
    encrusting monti - yellowy green
Millepora - I have 2 colonies and 3 smaller frags and all are showing great PE and the frags are colouring up rapidly
    pearlberry staghorn

SPS that didnt do well for me
2 x wild collected Acro colonies

so IMO start with aquacultured frags, that have grown in a captive enviroment and as such are probably going to adapt better to your tank conditions than something attached to live rock that has recently been removed from the sea
