    Afternoon everyone.

I have had a Rose Anemone for 2 weeks or so now. He was doing great until last night. I noticed that it was deflated and had a type of mucus coming out of a few of his tips. I see today 2 white spots near the mouth and more mucus from a few more tips. The clown will not leave him to get a real good look or time enough to take a pic. Any ideas what this might be?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Well there goes me blaming it on parameters. I guess you need to talk to someone who knows something.

It's best to keep your clownfish isolated for several weeks when you introduce a new anemone. The constant attention will further stress the poor critter that was just introduced to an entirely new environment. If I were you I'd confine the clown and wait it out.

I usually keep it at 8.2...not sure why it dropped. Could have been a bad test also. I did add part 2 B-Ionic to the tank tonight to increase the Alk as it was a bit low too. I keep it around 4.5. Just not sure why it dropped. I test every Sunday and it was all fine then. Hopefully the change did not stress it out too much.

    Hi Todd :)

What's the position of the Anemone in the tank?

He was hanging out under a cliff. I have now moved him to the top under the light more to see if that will help. He stung the heck out of me too which he did not do when I put him in the tank so he must be stressed about something. He has moved a bit but is still at the top. The lights have been off for an hour and a half or so now. I tried to feed him earlier to see if he would eat and he did eat a small piece of krill. He just looks horrible though. White fuzzy mucus stuck to his arms and 2 white spots near his mouth.
