my leather, a devils finger or hand, is now shrinking up. he has been a kind of purple color until today i noticed that part is now white. is he dying? this has happend before but not this long. its been about a week now since he has spread out. should i remove it or keep it in tank. i have moved to more light and current right now to see if that helps

hmm now dont quote me but maybe moving to more light might not be good...it could be in shock...also what r the specs of ur tank...ie supplement levels?

If the flesh is in tact, leave it alone. It might just be sloughing which can take up to a week. If the flesh is rotting, however, you won't want to put it in a higher light/water area.

    Bruce,

That's what 'sloughing' is, as per Amcarrigs post above :)
