i was looking through sites to find more dry rock and so far i know of 3..

marco rock which we all know, reef rock.net which i dealed with before(also on the RC forum) and now i found a place called dryrockusa.com which happens to be located very very close to me..well all 3 come from florida but dry rock usa is only a few miles..

    now the big ???

Marco rocks doesnt state what type of rock it is but they do say its from key largo

Reef rocks states their rock is aragonite rock

Dryrockusa states their rock is florida limestone

Are all three companies selling the same rock??? it looks the same to me, same worm style, color, and basically by eyesite...Now the price is different. I want the cheaper price which is driving there to pick the stuff up but is limestone bad? is that the same as aragonite rock?

It might be coming from the same place!

Check reefcleaners, they are in Florida and I'm sure they will answer any questions. I buy all my rock there

Yeah see that's where my doubts come from, that limestone looks very similar to almost all 3 companies

I'm really trying to avoid problems, I already have reef rocks, and I'm worried that might even leach

I wouldnt put limestone in your tank. It can contain all types of bad trace elements. I would use the argonite reef rock. It will look good, and will buffer your pH.

Thanks everyone for the help I really appriciate the responses and here's the email I received from reef cleaners ask about these so called dry rock

" It won't leach, it is devoid of organics. The rock would have to dissolve to leach phosphates. Aragonite/limestone are usually the same thing, it depends on how the limestone was created. This is Aragonite. No one is allowed to mine the Keys, they don't get it from Key Largo"
