I just filled up my 20g long used my old rock which has been sitting in my garage as well as my sand. Should I get Dr Tims one and only to speed up my cycle? Anyone else use it was it worth the $20???

I am unfamiliar with his product. I used a shrimp myself.

    I like your peninsula setup.

I used a shrimp on my last tank just wanted to see if it would speed things up... Thank you, I love peninsula style tanks as well. I was never able to see my fish when they were next to my wall on my last tank

I've heard good things about the product. I have personally never used it but I would say it couldn't hurt anything. The reason I say that is because I used Brightwell Aquactics Microbacter7 which I believe is basically the same thing. That stuff seemed to work wonders on helping to cycle my tank and Dr. Tim's would probably do about the same.

Dr tims is one of the best bacteria supplements on the shelves. It would help in my opinion to get a jump start on colonizing bacteria. There are a few different strains for certain parts of the cycle as well. I've used his products with great results. Dr tims has real bacteria instead of just a food source for bacteria.
