I ordered some snails which were supposed to arrive a few days ago but due to issues will arrive tomorrow. The issue is I leave for college in the morning and they will be here after. Anyways, since the snails will be dormant and I have hermits I was wondering if the snails should sit on the sand bed or should I put them in some cups that they can climb out of when they wake up. Would this be necessary? I am just worried the hermits will try to pry the snails out of their shells and eat them. Please help I need to know any ideas soon.

Snails should be OK, the hermits will be too busy getting easy meals from your rocks to bother with the snails. The snails will be closed up tight.
