I choose not to at this time. The reason is I am not convinced that the inhabitants would recieve a shock by stray voltage if they were not grounded (IE the bird on a power line theory).

Saved my rear end last year. Also use GFCI. I don't mess around with electricity anymore. SW tanks can kill if you are not careful and your number comes up.

i think if you are running a quality GFCI you will not get stray voltage..

GFI is the way to go save my but on many occasions never in my tank though.

I always use a ground probe connected to a GFCI

I also split my water moving equipment between two GFCI's on 2 different circuits. I only have my ground probe on one of them. That way if actual current or even induced current (from the magnets in many pumps) is high enough to trip the one GFCI, my water is still moving.

Sorry I'm not up with my acronyms, but what does GFI and GFCI mean?

they are the same thing. Ground Fault Interrupt and Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt. Basically they keep you from electrocuting yourself while working on your tank.

So is it safe to assume that a ground probe is more to protect the fish and a GFCI is more to protect the reefer (and im not talking about green leaves either lol)
