Guilty :-[ They just seem so hungry when I stand in front of the tank...they pop their littles heads out of the water as if to say "feed me!"

I try to go by the '3 minute rule', but they don't always cooperate. Sometimes they are done in 2 and leave a bunch behind. Sometimes after 3 minutes it seems they are saying 'Nice appetizer, what's for dinner?'

    Sigh!

I don't overfeed the fish, but I do overfeed the corals!!! I love to watch them eat! But I only feed them like that twice per week. Is that overfeeding? I mix frozen cyclopeze and a whole cube of mysis (or formula one or two or sqid or shrimp) in my 58 gallon :p with one fish ::)

    Yes, that's overfeeding! ;D

Honestly, though, there is no such thing as overfeeding if you have enough nutrient export. (Say a 50g display with 4 skimmers and 200g macro refugium! :tongue4: )

I've never really been able to grasp the concept of how much food is too much. But I have started using a Pippet to feed. 1 squirt for the fish then I surf 3Reef for a few minutes then another. That's it.

Seems to be cutting down on the algae growth while maintaining good healthy fish

I have a skimmer rated for up to 150 gallon tank, run carbon, and ozone ;D
I also have a great big huge ball of chaeto in my sump....does that count ;D

I know, I can't help it! my water is great, but I do get the occasional cyano outbreak...****sigh****

Did I mention I have mostly LPS coral? I know my limitation! ::)
