I've been wanting to create my own blend of fish food. I have seen several different recipes. Does anyone have a recipe they'd like to share that their fish seem to love and thrive from?

    Thanks!!

I suppose I should add what fish I have here in case someone asks...

    Maroon Clown
    Sixline Wrasse
    Foxface
    Royal Gramma Basslet
    Cleaner Shrimp

    Clarkii
Blue Hippo Tang (that has been hiding in the rock since I got him a week ago and won't come out!!)

I think Tangster and Omard both make their own but I haven't seen Omard post anything in a long time, hopefully he's ok

    homemade food

Nope, but i buy some from a female reefer that does, then she ships to me,on the bus.The fish go crazy for her food, and i'm sure the corals aren't complaining either :)

    Ingrediants for this mix are;
    - Mysis
    - Nori (All colors)
    - Oyster Eggs
    - Garlic (crushed)
    - Scallops
    - Vitamins (selcon and zoe)
    - squid
    - Krill
    - Spirulina flakes
    - enriched rotifers
    - spirulina enriched brine shrimp
    - cyclop-eeze
    - silversides with heads and tails removed
    - cuddlefish
    - shrimp

And then it's all combined in a blender and then frozen flat in zip bags,no need to rinse as it's all natural,no preservatives.I know it would be a lot of work as she makes at least 40 bags at a time. But,it's a labor of love,i would do it too. But,living in the sticks, and not even a lfs in our city,i can't get any of the ingredents.

Hmm the only thing on that list that I can get fresh would be

    garlic
    scallops
    shrimp
    squid (MAYBE)

I wonder if she uses some frozen or dried stuff, such as the nori, krill, oyster eggs, silverside etc...?

I saw your post earlier about the Pappone method so I googled it, I found that (what I thought) was more for feeding the corals. Could you feed the fish a bit of it, then turn the lights off and do the coral feeding or something?
