    When I switched to a an overflow and sump, I never looked back. Do you use one?

    I have done it both ways. I have run without a sump for years and did just fine; this past year has been with a sump and I do like having all the equipment down there along with the surface skimming.

    Nope , never have used a sump. I agree it would hide the equipment but dont have room for a sump either. Been in the hobby for 4 years and never had a problem.

    You bet, my first set up so i would not know what to do other wise plus i am running a ASM G3 so i have to have one. Wish i went with a smaller tank/sump though. put a 29gal under my 90 and had to put it in before i put the 90 down for it will not fit through the door. Ops big mistake, but it hold alot more water and equipment in there. LOL!!!

    I use a sump that was a wet and dry at one point. That drains into a Refugium then back to the tank. The best part is that there is a closet behind the tank that everything is in so it is very quiet in the Living room now.
