The sump! but away from the skimmer and other pumps you might have in there...

Why? well because dosing calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium into the same compartment as the skimmer will void the warranty according to euro reef. It will cause pumps to seize and burn out.

i dose in my top-off water. which goes into the sump.
the water is moving pretty quick in there so it gets mixed around pretty good before heading to the dt.

In the SUMP!!! Gives the best, fastest distribution, eliminating or at least reducing the possibility of precipitates forming!

I started out dosing in my sump, but shortly after my return pump would seize up after being shut down for a few minutes. Now I dose slowly into a high flow area of the dt.

Sump, so the concentration is diluted before heading to the DT.

My sump is a 2 chamber TruVu so my skimmer is in the chamber that the rt is in....so I dilute and ad to high flow return area in dt. If I had the 3 chamber sump like I had before I would dose the sump.
