I've been thinking about dosing lately. I have a love/hate relationship.

    Do you add anything?
    Do you notice any difference?

The RO/DI water that some of us add is very low in alkalinity. And unless you do FREQUENT water changes (not my favorite thing in the world) How are you supposed to keep your alkaline levels up along with your calcium? :-/ I know quite a few people who dose with Kalswasser or pickling lime (I have some myself) And my wife likes to use a 2 part solution of a buffering agent and calcium additive. I can see a change If my calcium levels were low, add an additive, then test my water and the other thing I have noticed is that my coral banded shrimp likes to molt when I put in some of the two part additive If I haven't dosed in a month or two.

The only thing I dose at this point is Kent Marine Kalkwasser and Calcium buffer if needed. I don't see any noticable changes. I like to keep my calcium at around 410ppm - 420ppm

I did however just order a test kit for Iodine and I was planning on dosing Iodine supplements if my test show that I have to. I recently purchased some Xenia and from what I've been reading everyone says Iodine is a key ingredient for Xenia to be healthy.

I don't add anything to the Tank. I do however, have a CA reactor and it keeps my Alk and CA consistent.
But Mag, Iodine, stron NO I don't add it
