I saw some plans once for some home-made surge devices that sat above the tank. Powerheads would fill them, then as soon as they were full, they would tip, causing a great surge in the tank. The box would right itself and the powerhead would fill it again.

I want to make these, but I can't recall what issue of F.A.M.A. magazine I saw them in.

Anyone have them or know how to make them?

Matt I read that artical but can not find it. I would guess it has to be since march of 08. I did find a basic info in vol 1 of The Reef Aquirium, ( Delbeck, Sprung) page 169.

Thanks. I think I was referring to an ATS ramp here. This thread is super old. I am closing it.
