Uh, oh. You went to the dark side. lol

I do remember that thread. very cool idea, indeed. Even for a nano, I think you would need a bigger pump for this to work...Maybe a koralis 425?

The only think I don't like about the wave boxes is that the wave is simply back and forth. It doesn't look all that real.

If i were you i would wait a bit for that hydor wave maker to come out and get another pump. Im sure it will be able to make some waves.

on the other hand, i have a vortech mp10 that can achieve this. you could maybe get one, but they are pricey.

Pricey but great pumps. Definitely a luxury...my dream tank has 2 mp60s. Lol.

Personally I am waiting for the Hydor Koralia SmartWave to come out. Just $60 and should hit stores next month. I have 3 Koralia 425 pumps in my 29g.

Taam is also coming out with a nano wave maker, see it in the stores by me and while its a cheap manufacturer the thing is pretty neat. It definitely does the job, and is insanely cheap (40 ish dollars at our store here)

it's 6 gallons. I have the return pump on during the day(about10-12 hours) so it's 346 GPH during the day.
