Hey everyone, i took down my last build thread because the tank started leaking after about a month of cycling. Not sure what happened but it was seeping out from underneath. So that was a disaster to come home from work too ha

Anyways I went out and picked up a 20g long. (I would of liked to have gone bigger but I was in a bit of a panic mode)

Ive got two powerheads, one 500 and another 700.
Is this a little too much GPH?
Im just curious because i bought them with my original slightly larger tank...

Ive got the go ahead from my tests
Lowest values for ammonia , nitrite and nitrate
So i went to the LFS and picked up a picasso clown and a small piece of GSP
Acclimated the little fella nice and slow.

He's kind of dancing around the top of the water line, pokin his head up quite a bit. Is that normal?

Have one of your power heads break the surface of the water a bit to make sure there is enough gas exchange in the tank. Sometimes they go to the surface if they aren't getting enough oxygen.

looks like a true percula, I personally prefer them to ocilaris. so if i understood correctly you placed the rocks from the previous setup that cycled for a month? you might be alright but i would test daily especially ammonia. I would also keep a bottle of prime at hand

Yeah there was enough water left to fill the new tank, i caught it just in time. So everything got moved over. Sand,filter/media, rock and all.
