Dimensions to gallon conversion

    I am looking to build another tank for my basement. I currently have a 90gal running on a G3 ASM skimmer and would like to combine the two filtration units. (DANGER) I know but would like to try anyways. So I figured I have about 150 gallons to play with what would be the dimensions of such a tank and or how can I figure this out with multiple designs.

    Does anyone have such a calculation available?

    Well there are 7.481 Gallons per cubic Foot so you would need 20.05 cubic feet of interior space in the tank for 150 gallons,
    Calculating cubic feet, or volume The basic formula for calculating cubic feet (CFT) is:

    LENGTH X WIDTH X HEIGHT = CFT
