    Can anyone help? I havent been able to purchase rodi unit yet so I'm using the culligan water dispenser at walmart for my water. Still getting tons of diatoms. I wipe them away and a week later they are all over the place again. Anyone have any solutions?

    Remove the silicates from the water source ;)
    Have you tested the culligan water? If not stop using it ASAP. Many stores neglect filer maintenance on their machines and what you get is even worse than tap. If you're buying from a supermarket machine, you need to be fully testing the water prior to purchase, every time.

    so get rid of silicates...the only thing i put in my tank is topoff water so you are saying the water is where the silicates are coming from?
