Upon my morning inspection, I found my Melanurus wrasse carrying around the the dead body of my shrimp goby. The goby has been in the tank for about 2 months or so and while eating, never ate well. Im not sure if that was the cause of his death and I do not believe that the wrasse is guilty of homicide, but perhaps abuse of a corpse! An investigation is under way.......

I know this probably "mr. obvious" question but are you positive it was a corpse?? I've had molts on my pistol that I could swear is the actual shrimp

Thanks Vinny. The corpse was positively identified, retrieved from the wrasse and given a proper burial at sea. Proper respect was given as the lid to the eternal tank was slowly closed. (love those slow closing lids.. no accidental slam at night)

    Sorry for your loss.

On a side note- that's the ONLY thing I KNOW I HAVE to do- is expire one day-
The rest is just a distraction, and icing on the cake.

Sorry for your loss. Hopefully a witness comes forward, but these kinds of neighborhoods are usually tight-lipped.
