So we bought this huge rock of Kenya tree off criagslist last night, it was late and the fish stores were closed so i couldnt pick up any coral rx so we did the next best thing, a fresh water dip. After we got a few bristle worms out and picked off a bunch of algae we placed them into our tank. At first they were just closed up tight but when we woke up this morning they were all slouched over and the branches appear to be falling off. They look pretty bad but I have read that kenya tree's are pretty hardy but im worried about these. Should i let them be or get them out of the tank? Any sure signs that they are dead?? Thanks

I had a Kenya tree die on me and looked like that a few months ago. My LFS told me it was probably because I wasn't adding enough iodine to the system. You have other corals?

I have a whole tank of other corals, everything else is fine. If I wave my hand over them their branches fall off =[ I was really hoping they would make it

Maybe the previous owner didn't dose enough and they may come back in your tank. Good luck with them

Between the move and the FW dip~they are totally stressed out. Give them a few days to acclimate and they should do fine. As long as your water is to their liking :) Good luck!

Is it gonna harm anything by leaving them in there if they are dead?

I got an order with Kenya a few months ago, unfortunately it didn't make it, and disinigrated when moved, it's probably super stressed

Hope they make it, they look pretty big if they were upright. Keep us posted please.
