    Thanks friends!
I will be looking to upgrade to led in the future. I will be hanging my t5 fixture over the tank for the time being. Yes a 3 ft fixture over a 6ft tank lol I will be hanging it from the ceiling so I will adjust the height to see how it will light up the tank. I'm kinda going for a darker ends look though. With the main few islands of rockwork being mostly centered in the tank.

    A little progress today
Painted the back of the tank black
Got all my pvc for the plumbing.
Made my light hanging apparatus lol
Gotta get some salt and sand tomorrow and I can really start working on it.

    Now quick question
I am going to move all my stuff now into a trash can while I'm switching.
Gunna let the tank fill with ro water and then add salt
Can I put the new sand in first, then ro, then salt??
Never did it this way but I can't store enough premade water so I have to mix it in the tank.
Ide rather not add sand after since it clouds up so much. But not sure it will be alright mixing with sand already in.

Add sand mix water in trash can then add to tank. Move after the dust clears. That is how I would do it.

Honestly, I'd mix the water before the sand, its gonna cloud up anyways in order to have enough flow to get the salt mixed right,a nd as you dump the water in, but I think doing it without the sand would allow you to get it dialed in easier. IMO. But to be honest I don't really know, It just seems like it would be harder that way to me. I'd worry about some salt getting down in the sand and slowly raising the salinity over a few days.
