    My lfs carry's these skimmers and I was wondering if anybody has used them or know anything about them.

    its a D&D typhoon , the guy at my local fish store said it can be run in the sump but I don't know.

    I don't know anything about those. The two HOB skimmers that I like are the AquaC Remora and the Octopus BH-100F. Lately, I have seen more people go the Octopus route. Either way, you are getting a good skimmer. There are two pieces of equipement you don't want to skimp out on. Your lighting and your skimmer. Spend the money......you will not be disappointed.

    i dont like venturi skimmers, I tend to stick with true needlewheel skimmers or recircs

    they are needle wheel with a venturi intake.
    well anyway I will probobly go with the marineland 100 since a few
    people have got good results with it and the price is around the same.
