    Man I am twice his age need new glasses and could tell they were dinner shrimp in the nylons. You will learn in life to read before running off with the mouth. Back to the post Picking up my new 125 Sunday when it is time to start how many shrimp did you put in the nylons. I read that they are to be the uncooked green ones. Thanks in advance.

    I used uncooked and for your tank size I would use 2, maybe 3...for my 60g I used 1

    I used two small ones. they were not green just regular pink cocktail shrimp. I have a 30 gallon tank. Possibly overkill? haha

    In all fairness to Doratus he did apoligize so back to the topic at hand I have heard of people using there own "urine" to start the process has anyone else heeard of this?

    Other things besides ammonia can be added to your tanks via pee.
