In my 240 gallon build I just finished filling the tank with Ro water premixed with salt. I used 120 pounds of live sand and all base rock. I usually add a prawn to start the cycle. Do I need to do this with live sand?

maybe if you wanted to add a lil extra dead stuff that would be good, i dont think there is as much die off with the LS, when you add LR there is alot more die off. Shrimp might be a good idea.

Shrimp is not a good idea. It will give birth to all kinds of bad bacteria. Add some live rock and let it do its thing.
