cyano?

    can cyano be on the glass also?
    i have some dark red patches of either cyano or coraline algae.
    what do you guys think it is?

    cyano can grow on the glass. it wipes off really easy

    do you think its cyano in my tank.
    i dont have any cyano on the sand but on the glass theres red patches something

    well i cant be sure without knowing more about your tank but I would say that it probably is cyano... it usually grows on the glass before the sand, however it will grow anywhere that it can get the nutrients it needs for life

    When I was having cyano issues I had it on the glass. It wipes off really easily. If you can't easily wipe it off, then it may be coraline.
