    your tank is going through the cycle mine took about 3 months before my cyano died. uncured live rock could also add to the outbreak. Like I said get yourself a phosphate reactor and you will be happy.

    you dont need any special equipment or anything expensive. i just went through cyano. the way to cure it( also worked for me) is water flow. the trick is to get more flow to the sand without causing it to blow around. when doing a water change use a small tube like airline tubing and suck out the cyano. with added flow you will see it die off.
