Sand Sifting Crabs are super funny - they are small crabs without any large claws - they are REALLY fast and zoom around - they do VERY well in the tank - regardless of water temp.

We have had them in our reef tanks for years and they do a decent job of cleaning. I prefer them to sand sifting starfish as they do not need a large tank to sustain them.

We also offer a 14 day guarantee on our livestock - no issues to date on these animals!! ;D

One in a tank that is fed properly is a major benefit.

Good to know Christina. THanks for info. The wikipedia blurb mentions that they are very tidal and like to stay where the waves are. Have you noticed any preference in aquariums with mole crabs?

I have noticed that they will zoom to the top of the aquarium and then zoom back onto the sand. But they never seem to perish unless there is a large wrasse that catches them while they are cruising around!!
