ohh they are awesome! I know they are all up and down the atlantic coast. When i visit my grandma in Ocean City, MD I can catch about 50 of them in an hour.
They wash in with the tide and then burrow down into the wet sand.
kinda like fleas of the beach hahaha

I've seen them while on vacation (based on behavior more than looks). I just never once thought about putting one in a reef tank. LOL I'm going to go for a few and see how well they work.

I have an 850 in a nursing home. No matter how many nassarius and cucumbers I put in there, I can't keep the sand looking nice. (They keep allowing residents and family members of residents to feed. They monitor how much food each person is given. However, if 20 people are allowed to feed, well.....you see the issue). Then the owner will call and scream that he won't pay until the tank is spotless (even though he knows the algae and the dirty sand is his own fault).

Are you serious? You seem to handle that pretty well, I'd be tempted to stick in head in the tank until he pays.;)
