Dude, I totally agree. My 80g has a big size mixture for my jawfish to play in when time comes.

trip: I can fully stand by caribsea's products. Just stay clear from sugar grain size sand. It loses it's buffering ability very fast compared to regular sand substrate.

IMO sand. if you want crushed coral put it sparingly on top of the sandbed.

thats how much i have in mine as well, i think the grain size is perfect and looks very natural.

It just gets annoying when my wrasse decides to pick up a mouth full of sand and spit it out and it gets everywhere and clouds up the tank until it settles back down

Yep. I used CC on my first reef tank. Bad move that trapped detritus.

Is this stuff actually "live?" The title leads me to think so, and I can barely make it out on the label. The description doesn't say anything about being "live" though.

I just did some research and answered my own question...silly me. Anyhow, in case anyone else is wondering it is "live" and looks like it might br my choice.

Should I completely remove the CC and replace with this stuff, or can I mix.

    Suggestions?
