    I just ordered a Crocea online, How would I acclimate it when I get it?

    drip acclimation is the best. i just slowely add water though. and both of mine are fine so far.

    I floated the bag for 10-15 for temp acclimation and then added about 1/4cup of water every 5min until the bag was almost full. Then just place him in the tank. Others may argue with my acclimation procedure but it worked just fine for my crocea clam.

    I followed ReefEmpires Instructions, which is a temp acclimate then place in the tank, Mine are here to this day doing grand.

    I agree with redgambit did the same with mine, just burp the clam by rotating your hand around under water while holding the clam.

    I got a separate bucket of RO/DI and heated it so temp and pH matched DT.

    I floated the clam to acclimate the temp.

    Then I put it directly into the freshwater for 18 minutes.

    I then took it out and put it directly into the DT and burped it.



    The FW dip kills off the snails that it may have hitchhiking.

    Alright how do you burp a clam? lol
    & I'm just going to float it for 15 mins, Then drip acclimate it for 30 mins. Sound good?

    I have a couple of bristle worms in my tank, Will they bother my clam once I get it?
