I have noticed in the past 2 days that my coraline algae has changed color in some parts of my tank. It is changing to a gray looking color. I dont know if its good or bad? Has this happen to anyone , and what makes this happen? I will try to post a pic. Please help.......

Have you done anything with your light lately. Like, new bulbs, change to higher W, or lowered them? It sounds like Coraline bleaching to me. I experienced it when I lowered my lights. Mine eventually came back

No they do not. It is always under water. Dont know the iodine level. i dont have a test kit for that. But i do add it twice a week. I also add Kent coral-vite which does have some of the supp. that i dont have now.

It looks as though you have a ton of coraline. I would consider it a blessing. But it does look like air exposure or light shock.
Either way odds are it will come back.
Coraline uses very little CA and I'd imaging it's not related to chemistry

I will caution you on adding Iodine if you do not test for it. I've never added anything and with regular water changes you shouldn't have to add Iodine Mag or any of the secondaries.

your right about that, I just dont learn sometimes . I guess i will have to buy a test kit for the iodine. I dont add Mag Thanks for noticing the growth of coraline. I just posted some more pics.
