    What is the best method of scraping it off of your acrylic

    I use a Kent Pro scraper. They have a plastic tip for acrylic. Get the longest one. It gives you extra leverage. If that doesn't work I carefully use a scrungee. Sometimes on the end of the scraper.

    can u really use a sponge to get off coraline algae? i have a hard time taking it off with a metal scrapper :(

    Yeah, I use a plastic paint-putty-mud knife from HD...did good a no scratches on my glass tank...I would be extra careful on the acrylic....:)
