It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Yes they go in the back compartments.

    What skimmer type is it?

Make sure the heater placement is in an area where it will always be submerged around the heating element.

Then yes it fits in the back compartments as well.

If you google "youtube videos of biocubes" is might be of some assistance with regard to placement of those items within the back compartments.

    Hope that helps. :)

Looks at Rapid Leds, and Reefbreeders. Also shop around on craiglist for fixtures.

The rare individual and newer hobbyist is able to sustain and grow sps right off the bat. There are easier sps such as Montipora, Pocillopora, .....but a new tank has to settle and a hobbyist must become familiar and somewhat practiced at the basic components of water chemistry and how that applies to the harder to keep sps.

A good guideline to follow is when your tank begins to show the growth and development of coralline algae then the system is stable enough house the easier sps.

is it the open top? or the one with the hood?
If you have the hood and don't mind doing it yourself you could buy a retrofit kit and wire them in. I got mine from rapid led.

haa Corailline beat me to it.:)
