I got this originally as a pocillopora and it appeared to have RTN but it never lost its color. It doesnt exactly look like a poci though. I left it in the tank just see what it would do. Well apparently it has encrusted over the part I thought was RTN. If you look at the first pic, it looks like some kind of encrusting montipora, the second pic it sorta does. Im thinking its an encrusting monti that has covered a poci skeleton which was the white part I saw when I first got it. It has never lost its color and has grown about 1/2"-3/4" around the whole base of it as if its encrusting, its not gotten taller like a poci would have. So yeah, any thoughts?

I was incorrect on both types... One of my buddies suggested that it looked like porites, and I looked it up and found it! Porites stephensoni.

I was thinking it was an encrusting monti such as the sunset (montipora danae) but they layout of the polyps and overall shape didnt seem right. I never thought of a porites, but after a little research I found exactly what it is.
