    whoo hoo i found my coral book

    its definitly a leather coral could be the cats paw i found a pic that looks just like it in my book looks like a type of sarcophyton sp. there seem to be several species so they look different but have the same type of care.

    says
    also heres a site for the sarcophyton

    [ftp=http://www.netpets.com/fish/reference/reefref/sarco.html]coral[/ftp][ftp=ftp://]leather coral[/ftp]

    just to be sure i would check out both species with the scientific names listed above it makes it easier for u to find the info HTH

    Karla it's a pretty crappy photo but I would be willing to bet it is not a Leather, it looks like a SPS to me.

    I think the one next to it is a Pagoda.

    C'mon Xabo do tell!

    Yes,last few months,nice board you have here ;).I love this test thread,of course is almost imposible to id sps corals by picture(especially with blury pix)and with expanded polyps ,but is funy.
    BTW I hate that common names(cauliflower) >:(,probably 20 diferent coral species have that name ;D
