Just got back from a weekend in Dallas, TX.
Bought a few new corals and need an I.D. for this one.
The LFS said it was a "cyphastrea" , but I cannot find any that look like the one I have.

I noticed last night that it extended some light blue tentacles, but as soon as the lights came on they retracted.

    Any help?

You meant caulastrea? Either way, that's what it looks like to me.

I don't see any stalks, so maybe not caulastrea as I originally thought as well.

Can you post more pictures of it?

That is what I thought at first, too, but now I don' think so either.

Just going by what the LFS told me - "cyphastrea"
Googled it, but couldn't find one that looks like it.

I'll try to take a few more pictures later when I get a chance.

Candy Cane - Caulastrea furcata .... that's what I'm going with.

Here's a few more pics ... ignore the dirty glass ... it's on the maintenance list for later today.
