Urgent Coral doing badly

    This guys not doing so well. What can I do to help it along? It's the small blue spot I believe its a chalice. Got it a week ago and it has shrunk a little since then. Don't have tests for mag, calc, or kh:( please help guys

    Do you have tests for the other values? temp, salinity, pH, ammonia, nitrites, trates? That would help.

    Also please post a picture if you can. Is any skeleton exposed?

    prob not a chalice, they don't really "shrink". pics and param's would help.

    But some tanks just don't like certain corals, mine HATES chalices for instance, some tanks hate zoas

    Thats why i like saltcritters.com, $5 frags so ya can test what works and how to grow them.

    It looks like it had started dying and it starter growing for the lfs then I got it and it started dying too. Here is a pic ill post other params once I get them tested

    That might be a chalice, it may not come back with it being that small. Put it in lower light that might help.

    does kinda look like a chalice actually, what do you mean by shrink?

    +1 I had some chalices that I had to keep practically in the dark to keep them happy others I could blast like my sps and they grew like crazy. Some corals like different spots, you just have to try it in different spots with different lighting and flow.
