My trumpet coral is being attacked by a lobo coral next to it. How should I separate them... just pull them apart?

The Lobo isn't going to stop with that one polyp. They cannot be kept that close together. It has the ability to continue growing the length of it's sweepers until they are all gone. It might take it a week, but for whatever reason, it's not happy with it's neighbor being there.

kill flow and wave your hand over them in a gentle swishing motion in an attempt to get them to retract, then move, not sure if pulling apart with sweepers locked on will hurt them or not,but i would venture to think it would.

Using a turkey baster blow a continual flow at the Lobo-it won't like it and retract ;)
