Copepod good or BAD

    Hi everyone

    I have a 55 gallon tank that is being taken over by copepod and i'm not sure if i should be worried about it. I have two clown fish in there as well would the clown fish eat copepod? please help thank you

    If you have a ton and can sustain them go with a mandarin or scooter blenny. If you can't sustain then sixline wrasse would be a better choice. Most people are dying to get to the point your at to be able to keep a mandarin.

    Copepods aren't bad by any means, I wouldn't worry about it. It may mean that you have excess nutrients in the system though if they're able to keep such a large population going.
    Maybe you could look at how much you're feeding or maybe you need to clean out some detritus or something.
    I wouldn't worry about them and certainly wouldn't consider stocking a predator for them just for that reason.
