I'm trying to make my own fish food, but the stores only sell clams cooked, not raw. Is this OK to use?

I believe only raw seafood will work. Who knows how they cooked it and if they added anything.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Is there any place to get raw clams and squid?

Do not cook it. Use raw only.

Most grocery stores should have a mesh bag of oysters that are frozen alive. My room mate works at a fish taco shop downtown, so he brings home swordfish and grouper all the time. My fish/anemone are spoiled! :)

Good place to check depending on the size of your town is the local oriental food mart. I been shopping at mine. Clams, squid & shrimp all raw & uncooked. Now I did have to get the store employee to do a little translating but according to her they are complete & unprocessed (frozen).

I found an oriental grocery store a few minutes from the house, where I found the squid, but not the clams. :( I'll let y'all know how the fishies like their new food. :)

Fish seem to love the food I made for them. Even my puffer, who wouldn't eat shrimp, ate this stuff. :D

Hey, that's great! I wish I had a local place that sold stuff like that. My town is tiny though.

Where in Ohio are you? I was born in Akron, and lived in Canal Fulton for 2 years afterwards.
