    Noob question here regarding MH bulbs. DE is double ended & SE is single ended??

    That's right. The base into which the SE bulb screws is also called a mogul base.

    GH=General Hardness This is a freshwater measurement of the hardness of your water. It is somewhat similar to KH (Carbonate Hardness) in marine tanks.
