i lost my two percs a month ago to clownfish diesease, also knows as brooklynella, i treated the tank with a marine ich based medication, it was reef friendly, fresh-water dips, the lot, but i lost the fish due to a late diagnose.

i now want to get another pair of perculas, i was wondering whether brook can lie dormant in other fish, and when i introduce new clowns to the aquarium, if the parasite will infect them and kill them.

    thanks :)

It has been suggested that a tank be kept fish free for 4 weeks to give the free swimming form of the parasite enough time to die off. If I was you, I'd play it safe and let it sit fallow for another few weeks.
