So, my 3 frogspawns have been hosting my female clown for quite a while now and she has always been so gently with them. They have a real nice relationship. I got a pink tipped spawn after my green tips and placed it between each of my green tipped. The pink tipped had to get use to the clown but after that it started hosting the clown just as much as the green tips do. The funny thing is that the clown does something with the pink tipped spawn that she does not do with the green tips... she pulls the polyps into her mouth and sits there and sucks on them! The polyps would shrivle a little because it bothered it slightly but now it could care less! Anyone else ever see this or have a clown that sucks on the polyps of the host coral?

I've heard of them doing that with host corals and nems.

Yes. Not uncommon. They will do it to anemone's too. Maybe it makes their mouth tingle.;D

lol, my nemo(I know, but its his name by my kid) has to be caught every time I try to feed him, or he's carpet surfing. Literally jumps out of the tank to grab food from my hand. Stupid fish;)

I’ve had clowns do this to anemones. I thought they were “conditioning” the anemones to host them.
