    So i just broke down my cichlid tank and am in the process of converting it to salt water.

    I have 50 lbs of base rock that I was using in the tank and I'd like to reuse for salt water. How do I clean it of the organisms in my cichlid tank so I can cure it for saltwater?

    Boiling the rock is not an option, the pieces are too big. Are there any other methods?

    Do I even need to do this or will it get killed off during curing? Can I just put it outside and let it dry in the sun?
