The shrimp are too smart for me. They don't want to leave the waiting room.

I'll have to try again tomorrow.

    Just tried again.

I seriously had my arm in the tank...for an hour and a half. They would crawl onto my hand for the piece of seaweed. But whenever I moved they would get startled.

I am not going to remove the parasite unless I can swiftly and easily get the shrimp out of the tank. I think it just causes too much stress, trying to catch them.

So, the bopryd isn't on the side of this shrimp anymore. The hole/bubble on the side is empty.

This one [the parasite] appears to be dying? But both shrimp have black stuff in their gill area.

That sounds like good news to me!!!!! If the parasite did indeed die the bump should start to disappear after its next molt.;)

After what appears to be on-going one month, the shrimp are slowly getting healthier. One shrimp (we'll call him Bob. Thanks for the name, Vinny.) no longer has the bopryd, but it will need to molt one more time so the exoskeleton no longer has the bubble on the side of the carapace. The bopryd on other shrimp (Joe. Thanks, again, Vinny) is almost completely gone from its side. The gills of both shrimp appear to be clearing out as well. I hope for a few more molts for him before it is all good and dandy.

    Pics to follow.
