Well after posting on others threads about their success and offering any help I could-got lots of great info from pickle010-I decided to make my own thread.
Backround first.I had a pair of tomato clowns that started spawning some time ago. After I was able to catch a few hatches I thought with a new baby coming it was time to bow out for a little while. It was to much fun even though I had a lot of set backs from either lack of proper food, proper lighting, proper water conditions,a crap heater that got stuck on and killed all of my last fry but 1 sole survivor and last but not least knowledge. After a nudge from Corailline-thanks by the way-I decided to give it a go.I have only to this point been able to raise 4 fry. They are still small and I think it is due to laziness-not keeping up on water changes.I was able to purchase a spawning pair of clarkii's from a local for a steal.I knew they where probably going to stop spawning for a while from being upset but hoped they would resume.
I caught them in the act of laying down a huge nest about 9 days ago.Because of where they have chosen for a nest site it is almost impossible to see how many eggs they laid.Last night about 45 minutes after lights out-BOOM-the clarkii bomb went off. They must have laid upwards of 500 or so eggs. The entire setup I had them in was a shinning mass of little fry swimming everywhere.I was only able to collect about 200-250 of the little guys-the female is the meanest fish I have ever seen.Today I still have all but 4.Sorry for the long post.

So for your viewing enjoyment I have attached some pics for now.
Thanks,Daniel

Oh excellent Daniel, :)

So are you doing the Rotifers, did you add it already or do you wait?

That looks like a large hatch, for sure.

Curious why did you choose Clarkii for your next breeding pair?

Sincerely it makes me very happy to see all your success.
