    i just wanna know ,my tank has been up for 8 months i just got my 400w mh upgrade and mp 20 in my 65g my light is also 30"s from the sand am i ready

    go for it.. just after you get him.. test calcium when you put him in and again 24 hours later to see the difference so you know how much more to add.

    The 2 part from BRS is pretty straight forward. What do you need help with?


    A 400w MH over a 65g? That is a bit overkill IMHO. But yeah, you won't have any issues keeping a clam with that.

    How is kalk confusing? You just mix it into your top off water and drip away. Before you get the clam, it would be a good idea to get your dosing schedule straightened out.

    See , that is the issue with dosing. You have to react to your critters calcium needs. He won't know his new dosing schedule until he adds the clam, and that will change after he gets the clam as well.

    But yeah, start dosing before you get the clam, as that will be one less variable when you get the clam. You will need to adjust, but it won't be foreign to you after you dose a while first.

    I am so happy I have a calcium reactor;)
