"Cynobacteria is usually encouraged with the presence of nitrate and ammonia, which are both fixed forms of nitrogen. Chemi-clean helps clean and remove this problem algae through its own unique process. Most other red slime removers use purely antibiotics, namely erythromycin to take care of the algae. The use of such substances with in your aquarium can have disastrous effects upon your nitrifying bacteria and cause your tank to crash, killing the inhabitants of your aquarium."

It is implied here, but I am digging deeper for you. I also found this:

    Specifications

Removes disease causing red cyanobacteria (red slime) from live coral.
Removes red slime, black, blue-green and bubble producing algae.
Oxidizes trapped organic sludge and sediment.
Clarifies aquarium water to crystal clear.
    Promotes ideal enzyme balance.
Contains no phosphates, algaecides or erythromycin succinate.
Safe for reef tanks, all invertebrates, desirable macro algaes, nitrifying bacteria and fish.
    Treats up to 300 Gallons.

Ok, I can't seem to find a list of what is in this product. I sent an email to the manufacture http://www.chemi-pure.com along with a link to this forum. I guess we have to wait and see what they have to say. :)

All this implies is that their product is not 100% antibiotics. What percentage is not antibiotics is not stated.

Contains no phosphates, algaecides or erythromycin succinate.
We know it does not contain erythromycin but what about other antibiotics. The don't mention them not make that blanket claim that the product contains no antibiotics. Only that it contains no erythromycin.

If you analyze the legaleze in these statements, we know the following:
    1. The product does not contain the antibiotic erythromycin
    2. The product is not 100 percent antibiotics
    3. Most other red slime products are 100% antibiotics
    4. These statements allow them to produce a product that is anything less than 100% antibiotics that is any type other than aerythromycin!

I agree with you, that is why I sent the email to their customer service. Now I just want to know, and I can't seem to find the info on the web.

Alright, so I decided to just give it a try...

I assume this, plus the PHs, is plenty of oxygen.
It almost seem like too much bubbles. The fish are a bit freaked out.

The tank is 60G, but I wasn't sure the actual water amount. So I only put in 4 and a bit of one more scoop in.
1 scoop per 10G it said.

I guess we'll see what happens.
