Hello there just wondering about this product Chemi clean. Is it safe for the other types of alge? Or will it harm them also?. They mention it for Cyano alge.

Make sure to follow the directions on chemi-clean to the T.....ive had alot of costumers come ack saying thier tank crashed becasuse of chemi-clean....but al of them failed to either do the manditory water change or provide proper airation for the product to work properley. The stuff works very well for run of the mill Cyano problems.

    Fastlife,

I've used Chemi-Clean twice now with great success, cyano gone within 48hours. As Sea said, just follow the instructions and all will be OK :)

If you decide not to go ahead, do a search on 3reef, there is lots of good alternatives to be found

Arg, the problem with society now a days, is the blanket use of anitbiotics. IMO you should find the source of your problem, rather then throwing antibiotics at it. Use it now to rid yourself of cyano and later you won't be able to get of a nasty super bacteria or viral strain you've helped create. Well, at least the FDA is all ready on the case, and you all in the states won't be able to run out and buy a bottle of antiboitics to cover up your nutrient problem :)
