    I do recall that. Hopefully that will allow originators more of the protections they need. After all, it's generally been the small guy that innovates.

    I believe the common consensus is that the old US system, i.e. First to invent, protected the little guy. First to file is likely to serve the interests of larger entities able to hire folks like me to make sure everything in site gets filed.

    The PFO patent lawsuit is dead in the water

    Just a couple months later, there is another article about the lawsuit being dead. Why, cause PFO went bankrupt. If I were a betting man, they went BK because of the impending doom that was upon them with the lawsuit. Which who knows what could have become of PFO had this not happened to them...

    Seems like defensive disclosure is the only chance an aspiring inventor might have. Even that may be a long shot.
